Lebanese President Optimistic About Relations With Armenia

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)– Armenia’s ambassador to Lebanon Arman Navasardian recently presented his credentials to the President of of Lebanon Ilias Herawi.

During the meeting–President Herawi expressed his sympathy to the Armenian people and Armenia’s living in Lebanon. He pointed out that there are excellent preconditions for expanding political–economic and cultural relations between Armenia and Lebanon. Mr. Hrawhi hoped that the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Armen Darbinian to Beirut–as well as the Armenia-Lebanon business forum to be held one of these days will contribute to this process. The Lebanese president referred to the importance of the work of the Armenian embassy in Lebanon and promised all kinds of assistance.
