ARF Press Summit Concludes

YEREVAN (Yerkir)–The Armenian Revolutionary Federation summit of press representatives concluded Friday.

During the assembly–strategies and content of the ARF press were discussed–especially the current political and socio-economic conditions in Armenia and the pursuit of the Armenian Cause–Hai Tahd.

The assembly was briefed on the current situation in Karabakh by Artsakh ARF Central Committee member Georgi Petrossian. The assembly also discussed the developmen’s in Javakhk.

The ARF press assembly also discussed widening and enhancing the ARF’s broadcast media–urging cooperation between regions which produce television or radio programming under the ARF banner.

Finally–the assembly discussed the overall status of the ARF press–specifically addressing issues of technological advancement–the lack of human and financial resources and the management of all facets of the ARF press.

The ARF press representatives also met with Prime Minister Armen Darbinian–who greeted them in his offices. The discussion revolved around political–economic issues–and addressed Armenia-Diaspora relations.

Darbinian briefed the ARF press representatives on the economic and political obstacles facing Armenia–and also provided the government’s plan in addressing those issues.

He stated that the government aimed at creating a beneficial climate in Armenia for foreign investment–specifically targeting Diaspora Armenia’s.

The participants of the meeting also met with Armenia’s Minister of Culture Roland Sharoyan.
