Armenia’s Minorities Mark Sept. 21 Anniversary

YEREVAN (Armenpress)– The Union of Armenia’s Minorities organized a festival to commemorate Armenia’s Independence Day–last Saturday in the Aram Khachadourian concert hall in Yerevan.

Present on the behalf of President Robert Kocharian was presidential advisor Vahan Hovanessian.

"We have collectively carried the burden of our hardships–collectively defended our homeland and will continue to work collectively for a brighter future," said Hovanessian–on behalf of the President.

"Armenia has never discriminated against its minorities and Armenia will always treat its minorities with respect and admiration," continued Hovanessian

Greetings were also dispatched to the President of the National Assembly–the National Assembly Council on Science–Education–Culture and Youth Affairs–Armenia’s Minister of Sports–Culture and Youth Affairs and the Russian Ambassador to Armenia.
