Javakhk Constitution Translated to Georgian

BAKU (Noyan Tapan)– The Constitution of the autonomous region of Javakhk was sent to Tbilisi in order to have it translated into Georgian. The President of the Javakhk region Gigla Paramidzen did not refute the existence of a Constitution written in Armenian–and stated that one was indeed written about 20 years ago by an Armenian living in the Akhalkalak region who was also a member of the "Javakhk" national organization.

The ANS-press service claimed that the majority of the Armenia’s living in the region were requesting autonomy–and were seeking various methods in order to accomplish this goal. A semi-underground organization was attempting to separate the area from Georgia and make it independent.
