YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–At the first meeting of its eighth session the National Assembly approved its agenda. In addition to 64 bills that were previously placed on the agenda–the bill "Organizing and Conducting Inspections of Enterprises and Establishmen’s" submitted by the "Hayrenik" ("Homeland") deputy group was also added. The agenda also includes the bills that were approved by parliamentary standing committees as well as those considered compulsory and urgent. Among them are the bills which were previously discussed and approved in their first readings.
Ten international agreemen’s were submitted for ratification.
On Tuesday–the National Assembly of Armenia ratified the agreement "On the establishment of a fund for researches and specialists between the government of the Republic of Armenia and the government of the Federative Republic of Germany" signed in Yerevan–on May 25–1997.
The agreement was signed with the purpose of developing friendly relations between the two countries–stimulating economic and social progress–deepening partner economic cooperation.
Also on Tuesday–the National Assembly ratified the agreement "On cooperation in the spheres of culture–science and education between the government of the Republic of Armenia and the government of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan" signed in Yerevan on April 21–1997 between the governmen’s of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
The National Assembly of Armenia also ratified the agreement "On international motor transport communication between the government of the Republic of Armenia and the government of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan" signed in Yerevan on April 21–1997 between the governmen’s of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The agreement is signed for one year and can be prolonged.
The National Assembly also ratified the convention "On protection of investor’s rights" signed in Moscow on March 28–1997.
