Armenian Parliamentary Delegation Received By Council of Europe Secretary General

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The delegation of the National Assembly of Armenia–currently on a visit to Strasbourg to attend a plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe–was received by the Council of Europe Secretary General Daniel Tarschys on September 23.

The head of the Armenian delegation Armen Martirossian welcomed the decision of the commission on political issues of the Parliamentary Assembly to hold hearings on the Karabakh issue on November 3–with Armenia–Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh attending it. Daniel Tarschys hailed the initiative of the Armenian delegation to hold a regular meeting of the commission on political issues of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Yerevan.

The heads of the delegations of Armenia and Azerbaijan met the same day.
