YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Famous Armenian film director Yuri Yerznkian was honored posthumously during a unveiling ceremony of a memorial plaque on 34 Tumanian Street.
The film director had lived in that house since 1957. The memorial plaque was designed by the architect Ashot Smbatian.
Attending the ceremony were Minister of Culture Roland Sharoyan–deputy minister Vigen Chaldranian–movie critic David Mouradian and the relatives of the film director. The name of the film director will be embedded in history–and his films will always be remembered in the Golden Age of the Armenian cinema–those present at the ceremony said.
Yezinkain is famous for such films as "Khatabala,"Song of First Love,"Captives of Ounce Canyon,"This Red and Green World."
