LA Philharmonic to Honor Armenian Culture

LOS ANGELES–Preparations are underway by the International Committee of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association for the 48th Annual International Benefit Ball honoring Armenia and its culture–announced the committee.

The event entitled Armenia–its Passion and its Soul–is chaired by Aida Gaona Koukeyan and will take place on April 17–at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

Each year the even honors the Los Angeles Consular Corps–Chefs de poste and their spouses. Adding to the international dimension–each year a different country is chosen to be honored.

Recently–the Ball Committee–the international president of which is Rabab Ashley–met with Armenia’s Consul General to Los Angeles Armen Melkonian–at the Armenian Consulate in Beverly Hills. The Consul General expressed his gratitude for the committee’s selection and pledged his office’s assistance in every way possible.
