President Leads Delegation to Davos Forum

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–President Robert Kocharian–heading a delegation–left for Davos–Switzerland–Wednesday to attend a world economic forum there.

The president’s party includes Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian–presidential advisor for economic affairs Vahram Nersissian and other officials–Liberty Radio said quoting presidential spokesman Vahe Gabrielian.

The Armenian delegation was scheduled to meet with Swiss businessmen in Geneva Thursday. UN Headquarters Director in Geneva Vladimir Petrovsky will give a reception in honor of the Armenian president after which the delegation will head for Davos.

Within the framework of the international economic forum–President Kocharian is scheduled to meet with Russian Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov–his counterparts from Poland and Switzerland–the prime ministers of Canada and Russia–the minister of foreign affairs of Iran–the heads of the International Monetary Fund–the World Bank–and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The visit will end on February 1.
