Deadline Set for Election Nominations

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Central Electoral Commission decided to assign a working group to divide the territory of the Republic of Armenia into 75 election districts and publish the list of one-mandate election districts by March 1.

In the CEC schedule–the nomination of candidates by parties according to the system of proportional representation begins from the moment the date for elections is announced and lasts until March 30 inclusive. The time for nominating candidates on the majority ticket is set at March 1 through April 4.

The registration of party lists of candidates drawn up according to the principle of proportional representation will be in effect from April 15 to April 25. The registration of candidates by the majority principle must be completed by April 25.
