Painters Union to Mark Jubilee for Armenian Sculptor

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Sculptor Benik Petrossian left a valuable heritage for generations to come. On April 30 responding to the Painters Union request to support the creation of Benik Petrossian’s Center of Miniature Sculpture–National Assembly Speaker Khosrov Haroutiunian visited the exhibition of sculptor’s works.

Haroutiunian said that the works by talented artist are not only of great value–but also need to be seriously studied. Haroutiunian voiced hopes that the government of Armenia will do its best to organize a constant show of over 500 works by Benik Petrossian through provision of appropriate area.

In May the Painters Union is planning to hold a series of arrangemen’s–marking the 60th jubilee of Benik Petrossian–who died young.
