IMF is Armenia’s Long Term Partner

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A working group of the International Monetary Fund will visit Armenia to start works on a loan program in Armenia.

At a briefing on April 30 presidential spokesman Vahe Gabrielian said that during the meeting with IMF Executive Director Michel Camdessus in Washington–president of Armenia Robert Kocharian reiterated Armenia’s commitment to continue democratic and market reforms. Camdessus–for his part–assured that the International Monetary Fund–remains Armenia’s long-term partner and will continue to implement programs and support Armenia.
