Nine Public Organizations to Monitor Parliamentary Elections

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A roundtable discussion about the activities of public organizations during the election campaign and their contribution to holding free–fair and transparent elections was held Thursday at the House of Journalists of Armenia. Attending the discussion were representatives of public organizations and journalists.

It was reported that nine public organizations–including the League of Women Voters–Union of Civil Society–"Themis" organization–Republican Union of Women–"Justice and Right" and the Sakharov Fund of Human Rights Protection were accredited to monitor the parliamentary elections. Also a number of organizations plan to hold seminars and organize other arrangemen’s to contribute to holding free and fair elections.
