One Killed By Hand Grenade

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–One man was killed as a result of an explosion in one of the Yerevan streets Tuesday. At about 11 a.m. deputy director of the "Zhoghgegharvest" public corporation Manvel Bagratian and production manager of the same corporation Albert Takhramazian met at the crossroads of Abovian and Toumanian streets. They were in Takhramazian’s personal GAZ-2107 car. After reaching the cross-roads of Abovian and Sayat-Nova streets they started an argument over their personal financial matters. During the argument Bagratian took a hand-grenade out of his pocket and–jumping out of the car–threw the grenade in the car. The grenade went off–and Takhmarazian died on the spot. Immediately after the accident–Bagratian gave himself up to the police station of Yerevan’s Center borough. A preliminary investigation into the case is being conducted.
