Interior Ministry Advisor Dies in Car Crash

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A high level advisor from Armenia’s Interior and National Security Ministry died in a car crash Tuesday at 10:45 p.m. on the Yerevan-Sevan highway.

Gurgen Haroutiunian’s collided with a ZIL truck–as a result of which the driver was killed.

Before assuming the advisory position–Haroutiunian was the chief of the intelligence division at the National Security Agency.

A criminal investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
