President Says CIS Needs Reforms

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–President Robert Kocharian met with Secretary General of the CIS Collective Security Council Vladimir Zemsky on May 21. The latter informed the Armenian president about efforts being made within the framework of the CIS Collective Security Treaty.

The two also discussed ways to unfold cooperation under the Treaty and to form systems of collective security–according to a presidential source.

As a constituent part of the CIS–the Collective Security Treaty–as well as the Commonwealth itself–needs certain reforms.
