Kocharian Awards Medal to Russian Violinist

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Robert Kocharian awarded the prestigious Mesrob Mashtots medal to Russian violinist and head of the Moscow Virdvoz ensemble Vladimir Spivakov during a reception at the Presidential palace on Sunday June 13. The president thanked Spivakov for his humanitarian assistance after the devastating 1988 earthquake.

"I’m very happy to see renowned musician and friend of Armenia Vladimir Spivakov–and I’m proud to award him this important medal," said Kocharian.
