Armenian Ambassador Visits Southern France

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenian Ambassador to France Edward Nalbandian was in Marseilles on June 24-27 where he met with head officials of the Alpe-Cot d’Azure province.

As part of the visit Nalbandian met with governor Michel Vogeles. The sides exchanged views on the Karabakh conflict settlement and the French Senate’s affirmation of the Armenian Genocide.

President of the General Council of the Department of Couch du Ron Senator Jean-Noel Guerini also met with Nalbandian. The sides discussed plans to further Armenian-French ties and cooperation.

Nalbandian also met with Marseilles Mayor–Vice-Speaker of the Senate Jean-Claude Godin. The sides stressed the constructive role of France in ensuring stability in the Caucasus as well as French support in Armenia’s efforts to integrate into European structures.
