OSCE Conducts Front Line Monitoring

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–On July 6–the OSCE mission conducted front-line monitoring on the southeast border of Karabakh’s Mardakert region–about 4 kilometers off the sector where an armed incident took place on June 14.

The team monitoring on the Karabakh side was led by Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman in Office Andrey Kasprczik.

The monitoring was conducted according to schedule–with no incident reported. The OSCE inspection team was accompanied by Karabakh defense officials and Foreign Ministry representatives.

The monitoring was conducted upon the initiative of Envoy Kasprczik–who earlier asked Karabakh Foreign Minister Naira Melkoumian for assistance in its organization.
