President Meets With EBRD Delegation

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–President of Armenia Robert Kocharian met Tuesday with a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development–which included first vice-president of EBRD Charles Frank–director of the department for Caucasian countries Lincy Forbes–member of the board of directors of the group–representing Ukraine–Romania–Moldova–Georgia and Armenia Yuri Pluneev and director of the Yerevan Office of EBRD Aliks Drakinos.

The sides discussed opportunities for implementing investment programs in different sectors of Armenia’s economy–in particular–the energy–telecommunications–and pharmaceutical fields. Kocharian noted spheres in which the government should pursue a more active policy.

The sides also stressed the importance of implementing regional programs.
