Danielian Karabakh ARF Rep Discuss Crisis

STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)–Karabakh Prime Minister Anushavan Danielian met representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Central Committee of Karabakh Grigor Hayrapetian Wednesday to discuss the current political situation in the country.

The sides discussed relations between the party and the government. The prime minister inquired about the ARF’s Karabakh structure–its activities–and political and economic principles.

Hayrapetian stressed the need for speeding up the processes of statehood consolidation in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic–further development of democracy and strengthening the principles of social justice.

"I think that the internal political tension in Karabakh is disappearing," Armenian Revolutionary Federation Executive Council of Armenia member Armen Rustamian said in an interview with Noyan Tapan. He said that a change of leadership in Karabakh was necessary to handle the socio-economic crisis in Karabakh and enforce law and democracy in the republic.

"It is essential that internal differences–which are natural for any democratic state–do not damage Karabakh’s security and jeopardize the Karabakh peace process," Rustamian added. He hoped that the Karabakh authorities will be able to place state interests above private ones.
