20 Firms Participate in Polish Armenian Business Forum

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"There is a great potential for restoring and developing Armenian-Polish economic ties which have weakened in the last few years," Chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia Aram Vardanian said following the business forum recently held in Warsaw–Poland.

Twenty Armenian firms displayed over 200 products at the exhibition organized during the forum. A number of Armenian enterprises–including the "Mshak" public corporation–"Neutron" enterprise–Yerevan "Haytrade" public corporation–Nushikian Association–and Armavir Cannery–reached preliminary agreemen’s with Polish partners. Vardanian stressed that the Polish side showed particular interest in artificial diamonds in Armenia.

Vardanian reported that the Yerevan-Warsaw direct flight is expected to open soon–making a significant impact on business relations. A Polish delegation plans to pay a return visit to Armenia this September.
