ABBA Center to be Established in Southland

LOS ANGELES–The Armenian Black Belts Association has announced that they have opened a center in Los Angeles. The ABBA is internationally acknowledged and has centers in the Middle East–Europe–Armenia and Karabakh.

ABBA founder and President of Karabakh’s "Wou Shou" Federation Garo Kebabian is in town for the opening of the new center.

The center officially opens Saturday August 7–1999 at 6 p.m. The ABBA invites the community to join them for the opening.

The center is to strengthen the Armenian youth by giving them "a healthy body–a sharp mind and a kind heart."

"A healthy body in order for the Armenian youth to protect their historic lands. A sharp mind to protect themselves from the various dangers of this world. And a kind heart in order for one to live happily," explains Kebabian. "We will only use our strength to establish and protect our freedom and independence." said Kebabian.

The center is located at 2101 N. Glenoaks in Burbank and is open from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. For more information call the center at (818) 260-9191.
