First Pan Armenian Game’s Torch to Be Lit in Garni

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan). The Steering Committee of the First Pan-Armenian Games–which is being coordinated by Minister of Territorial Governance Khosrov Haroutiunian–has summarized the concluding stage of preparatory works. All eleven sport facilities in four Armenian cities are ready to host sporting events. The torch of the First Pan-Armenian Games will be lit near the Garni Temple at 3:00 p.m.–August 28. The torch will be delivered to Hrazdan Stadium in Yerevan in a relay race comprised of 60 runners. Twice world champion in gymnastics Albert Azarian will light the Game’s torch.
