Armenian Delegation Leaves for Washington

YEREVAN (Itar-Tass)–A governmental delegation from Armenia led by Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan left for Washington on Sunday to attend an annual meeting of the boards of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

The delegation–which includes the ministers of economics–finance–agriculture and the Central Bank governor–will mostly discuss the credit programs the IMF and the World Bank are expected to start for the Transcaucasian republic–sources at the Armenian cabinet press service told Itar-Tass.

The Armenian Premier will meet with Vice-President Al Gore. Meetings with World Bank President James Wolfensohn–IMF Managing Director Michel Camdessus–the heads of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the US Export-Import Bank also are scheduled.
