YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A presentation of the second volume of the "Iran and the Caucasus" international yearbook was held September 29 at the Department of Oriental Studies at Yerevan State University. The yearbook contains articles of specialists from Australia–Asia–Europe and America. The core of the volume is the studies by scholars from Armenia–Iran–Russia–North Caucasus and Daghestan. Along with West European languages the Russian language is also a working language of the yearbook.
Head of the Department of Oriental Studies–Director of the Caucasian Center of Iranian Studies Garnik Asatrian pointed out that the "Iran and the Caucasus" yearbook was recently presented at an exhibition of academic publications in Paris–France–and was given a high appraisal by leading scholars who characterized it as a unique academic yearbook.
Attending the presentation were also officials of the Iranian and Russian Embassies in Armenia.
