Judicial and Prosecutorial Reforms Discussed

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The October 14 meeting of the Council of Justice–attended by President Robert Kocharian–discussed the results of examinations conducted by Council officials in the judicial bodies and the bodies of the Prosecutor’s Office.

As a result of judicial reforms–judicial bodies and bodies of the Prosecutor’s Office are operating in conditions of a new legislation today and–according to Robert Kocharian–similar examinations may be of use both for better organization of work and for enhanced responsibility.

Some organizational–procedural and other kinds of omissions were revealed as a result of checkups.

The president instructed the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor General’s Office to take notice of the results of the examinations and report on the measures taken on this account.
