Civil Aviation Complex Not to Be Privatized

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–On October 13–at the meeting of the National Assembly–Minister of Transport Yervand Zakarian said that the issue of privatizing Armenian Airlines is not under discussion and that there is no such program in the government yet. Later–Prime Minister Vazgen Sargssian added that the complex of facilities and constructions belonging to civil aviation will not be privatized–at least under his government. In particular–the issue of Armenian Airlines is not yet clear as 5 or 6 planes are in need of major repair–which requires financial expenditure.
