Of 89,071 eligible voters in the region 48,900 people went to the polls on Sunday–55 percent of the total number of eligible voters. The voter turnout in Noyemberian was incomparably higher–a whopping 75 percent–where 7 candidates were running for mayor.

No incidents were reported during the elections process in Tavush. Only one candidate in the village of Tsakhkavan applied to the regional electoral commission complaining about the procedure used by the district commission in establishing the validity of ballot-papers.
