Armenicum Clinic to Open; Countries to Support Drug

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Armenicum enterprise will open a clinic for 52 patients on December 10.

Until recently–patients have been treated with Armenicum in various medical establishmen’s in Yerevan. In particular–the first 15 patients took courses of treatment at the Medical Center of Dermatology and Sexually-Transmitted Diseases–at the Ministry of Health.

Ukraine and Georgia are currently partners of the Armenicum anti-AIDS project.

Talking to Noyan Tapan–Head of the "Armenicum" Information-Analytical Center David Aslanian said that the preparation is expected to be registered in Ukraine. During their visits to Yerevan this summer–Ukrainian specialists received corresponding documen’s for the registration of the drug.

As for Georgia–Aslanian said that the Armenian side is ready to supply Georgian patients with the preparation.

The delay was caused by Georgia’s lack of funds needed for laboratory tests and analyses of the effectiveness of Armenicum.

He also pointed out that besides the CIS member-countries–two other countries have stated their intentions to become partners of the project.
