“Justice” Bloc Invites Roundtable on Political Crisis

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The "Justice" bloc has invited a roundtable for all parties opposing anti-constitutional steps and valuing stability in the country in order to overcome the current crisis that emerged in consequence of the faulty state system and to bring the country’s internal political life back to the natural frame–leader of the Democratic Party of Armenia Aram Sargssian told Noyan Tapan.

According to Aram Sargssian–the roundtable is supposed to analyze the situation in all trends–develop a model of bringing the country’s domestic life back to normal–to meet with the president–the parliament speaker–the prime minister and the constitutional court chairman in a joint effort to develop "the rules of the game."Political parties ought to be the guarantors of stability in the country," he emphasized.

Commenting of the calls for the president’s resignation made at the Yerkrapah congress–the DPA leader said that an emotional approach prevails in the situation that emerged after the killings on October 27. "We are against resignations and early elections because they create a precedent of holding early elections through someone’s enmity to the president. Is there no-one in Armenia who believes in fair elections? Nevertheless–we hold that they had the right to make such calls," Sargssian stated.

"If we give promote further internal instability–thereby we will play into the hands of forces concerned–including revenge-seekers as well as our opponents outside the country. An instinct of national self-preservation should be awakened among Armenia’s," Sargssian emphasized.
