YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–On Wednesday evening–December 8–Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I had telephone conversations with Armenian President Robert Kocharian and Catholicos of All Armenia’s Karekin II.

President Kocharian presented the general situation in Armenia–which–he said–has seemed to improve but still arouses concerns. Therefore–he called for combined efforts to strengthen Armenia.

Catholicos Aram I said he was closely watching the events in Armenia. He called for a collective will–faith and unanimity in the face of the current difficulties.

His Holiness reassured the Armenian president of the Cilician See’s commitment to continue supporting all efforts and initiatives to strengthen the Armenian state and promote the Armenian people’s prosperity.

The conversation between Karekin II and Aram I mainly focused on the current situation in Armenia and on the work being carried out in the Holy See of St. Etchmiadzin upon Karekin II’s initiative–the Cilician Catholicosate reports.
