Armenian Lawmakers to Attend Plenary Session of PACE

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is scheduled for January 24-28 in Strasbourg. A parliamentary delegation from Armenia led by chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign relations Hovhanes Hovhanissian will also attend the session as a guest. The delegation also includes Armen Roustamian (the Dashnak Party)–Hamayak Hovhannissian (the Unity bloc) and Leonid Hakopian (the Communist Party).

Hovhanes Hovhannissian reported that the agenda of the session includes many issues. The committee for political issues of PACE plans to discuss a list of obligations connection with admission of Armenia to the Council of Europe. During the visit–the Armenian law-makers will meet with Chairman of PACE and Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
