YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan). The National Association of Publishers and the Assistance Fund of the Institute of Open Society have arranged the first nationwide fair "Book-2000"–which will open at the exhibition pavilion of the "Avasa" Book House on January 25.
Presentations of new books by modern Armenian writers–meetings of publishers and booksellers with members of the Writers Union will be held on the sidelines of the book fair. A festival of children’s book is also planned. Children of fallen freedom fighters will be the first to be presented with newly published books. Collected works by Diasporan Armenian writers will be granted to the Armenian Foreign Ministry’s Library. The book fair will end on February 10.
