Jaglassian Campaigns for Fresno City Council

FRESNO–Tony Jaglassian–eldest son of Moses and Seta Jaglassian of Fresno–announced the addition of an experienced consultant–Tim Orman–to his campaign team. Orman–whose track record includes a variety of local candidates and issues–was the campaign manager and consultant who led Congressman George Radanovich’s successful 1994 effort to replace a 6-term incumbent by the second largest victory margin of victory in the nation’s 435 congressional races. Congressman Radanovich has been very active on issues of concern to the Armenian community. ‘ "I am very pleased to have Tim on our team. His experience combined with my energy and determination make for a formidable campaign team. I have a good message for the people of Fresno in terms of being business and taxpayer-friendly–while also prudently investing our limited budget in public safety–education–building more parks for our children–revitalizing downtown and attracting jobs–said Jaglassian.

Jaglsassian–29 of Fresno–is the owner of Global Transmissions–a business which was on the brink of bankruptcy when he bought it from the creditors and utilized his marketing and management skills to create a profitable company with low turnover and an unusually high level of customer satisfaction. Tony also works closely with his family on their 320-acre farm. A 1992 graduate of California State University–Fresno with a degree in business marketing–Jaglassian was recruited by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for special agent training–but chose to remain near his family and pursue business and civic opportunities in the Fresno area.

"I’m not a politician and I don’t need a job. I already have one. The reason I am running for City Council is because I care passionately about Fresno’s future and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work making Fresno a better place to live. I will use by business and marketing skills to help the City operate efficiently–attract new business and jobs and help this community realize its’ dreams. I will be an independent voice on the council–not beholden to any special interest. I don’t pretend to have all the answers or make you think I do with alot of political double-talk–but I will always listen to what you have to say in order to learn and get the information I need in order to make a good decision for our future," said Jaglassian.
