Armenia India to Engage in Stronger Bilateral Relations

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"Armenia and India should develop more active political and economic cooperation," Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Foreign Relations Commission Hovhannes Igitian said during his February 10 meeting with Indian Ambassador to Armenia Bal Anand.

Anand was quoted as announcing his intention to engage in active work towards developing Armenian-Indian cooperation in various fields. Anand expressed confidence that bilateral relations have great prospects. He noted the contribution of the Armenian community to the country’s development.

The sides exchanged views on issues pertaining to cooperation within various international organizations and in separate fields.
