YEREVAN (Armenpress)–February 15 marked the first anniversary of the seizure by Turkish security forces of Kurdish guerrilla leader Abdulah Ocalan–sentenced to death by Turkish courts.
Several hundred Armenian Kurds marched to the US and Greek embassies in Yerevan on Tuesday–chanting anti-Turkish slogans and demanding the release of Ocalan–the leader of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
Charkaze Rash–a Kurdish-Armenian leader–said Ocalan’s arrest was part of an anti-Kurdish "conspiracy" by Turkey–the US and other major Western powers.
He also condemned Greece–Turkey’s traditional foe–for its "complicity."
