Proctology Institute Privatized

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The Proctology institute in Yerevan has become the first local hospital to be privatized. It was bought by the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) for $300,000.

"This was the first attempt in Armenia to privatize a hospital–and I am not sure it will yield positive results. But I believe that the future is in private clinics," said the Institute’s director Alexander Aghavelian to Armenpress.
