Nalbandian Presents Credentials to Israeli President

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenian Ambassador to Israel Eduard Nalbandian presented his credentials March 9 to President of Israel Ezra Veitsman.

Following the official ceremony–the Israeli president addressed the history of the two nations–stressing that the two ancient peoples are entering a new millennium with independent statehood–centuries-old experience and unique cultural heritage.

Speaking of his meeting with the Armenian President Robert Kocharian in January–Veitsman asked the Armenian ambassador to convey his greetings and best wishes to Kocharian–and wished progress and prosperity to the Armenian people.

The sides discussed issues of bilateral relations–the current situation in the Middle East and development of the South Caucasus.
