Representative of OSCE Chairman visits Karabakh

STEPANAKERT (Armenpress)–Karabakh President Arkady Ghukassian’s press office reported–Thursday–that the President welcomed Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office–Andrzej Kasprzyk to Stepanakert. The two discussed regional issues as well as resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

Also Thursday Kasprzyk was received by the Karabakh Minister of Foreign Affairs–Naira Melkumian. During the meeting a wide range of issues concerning the prospects of resuming the negotiation process–exchange of prisoners of war and further maintenance of the cease-fire regime were also discussed.

Melkumian drew Kasprzyk’s attention to anti-Armenian propaganda in Azerbaijan–an attempt by Azeri authorities to hamper the social-economic Karabakh’s development by any means. Wednesday–Karabakh’s representative in Paris Artak Harutunian met with French Co-Chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group Jan-Jack Gayard and discussed the same issue.
