Lincy Donates $50 000 to Fresno School

FRESNO–The Armenian Community School of Fresno announced recently the receipt of a donation in the amount of $50,000 to the school from the Lincy Foundation.

Principal Seth Atamian stated that "schools such as ours–which are independent and do not fall under the umbrella of a church or Armenian organization–depend on the generosity of such philanthropic institutions as the Lincy Foundation."

Atamian added that the school is continually upgrading its computer lab in order to stay at a level above and beyond schools in the public sector.

He expressed that the donation will also help provide the school’s language lab with the equipment necessary in teaching conversational Armenian to students who come from non-Armenian speaking homes.

Judge Steve Vartabedian–chairman of the Board of Education also expressed his deep appreciation for the donation to ACSF.
