US Prepared to Help Armenia Clamp Down On Corruption

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–President Robert Kocharian met US Ambassador Michael Lemmon Tuesday.

The meeting reportedly focused on the development of a complex program of coordinated struggle against corruption. The president spoke of measures to be taken in this sphere. Among such measures is a law regarding civil servants to be adopted by the National Assembly.

Lemmon assured Kocharian of his government’s readiness to assist Armenia in the matter.
