Armenian European Union Second Session to Be Held in Yerevan

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The second session of the European Union-Armenia parliamentary cooperation commission will be held in Yerevan September 13-14. The constitutive session of the Armenia-European Union committee for parliamentary cooperation was held last December in Brussels.

According to the Armenian parliamentary press office–the upcoming session will include discussion of issues related to the peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict–economic reforms in Armenia–democracy development and human rights–as well as cooperation between Armenia and the European Union.

The European Union delegation will have meetings with President Robert Kocharian–the parliamentary speaker and other high-ranking officials. The delegation’s itinerary also includes a visit to the headquarters of the Armenian Church Saint Echmiadzin and a meeting with the head of the Armenian Church Catholicos Garegin II.
