Front Line Monitoring in Karabakh Continues

STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)–The OSCE Mission conducted regular monitoring of the front-line between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan–in the North-East of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic–Monday.

The Personal Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk–who headed the monitoring–crossed the defense positions of the troops and passed onto the territory controlled by the Karabakh forces. His field assistants Carel Cratky (Czech Rep.) and Stephan Buchmeyer (Austria) carried out the crossing together with him.

Jan Keller–a field assistant–crossed the contact line in the reverse direction. A meeting of the commanders of both sides responsible for this sector of defense took place within the framework of the monitoring. The same day–Karabakh’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Naira Melkoumian met with Andrzej Kasprzyk. The sides discussed the results of the inspection.
