Law On Prophylaxis of HIV Caused Diseases Amended

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Armenian National assembly adopted the bill "On amendmen’s to the Law on prophylaxis of HIV-caused diseases" in its second reading. According to the bill drafted by Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee for State and Legal Affairs Victor Dallakian–prophylactics and treatment of HIV are carried out by the medical establishmen’s authorized by the Armenian government according to the order established by law.

According to the bill adopted in the first reading–the treatment was to be carried out by the medical establishmen’s partially held by the government–but the requirement was withdrawn at the suggestion of the government and the special commission of the National Assembly. According to Article 8 of the Constitution–the government guarantees free development and legal protection to all the types of property–free economic activities and competition.
