Prosecution in Oct. 27 Case to Get More Time Before Court

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The military prosecutor’s office of Armenia–which is leading the investigation into last year’s attack on Parliament–is considering prolonging the period of time given to the parties to get acquainted with the materials of the case.

The fifty days–specified by law for preparing a case expires on Friday–but the prosecution has said they are lagging behind the schedule.

A senior official of the military prosecutor’s office also told Armenpress that Ashot Manucharian–the executive secretary of the Union of Socialist Forces–a pro-Russian group–had been twice summoned to the prosecutor’s office in connection with some of his announcemen’s made in the press–but failed to show up.
