YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–As a result of parliamentary hearings held on the initiative of the Parliamentary Standing Committee for State and Legal Affairs and numerous visits paid by Committee members to drought-stricken regions–a bill on the elimination of the aftermath of the drought has been elaborated and signed by 21 Parliament members
According to Committee Chairman Victor Dallakian–the bill is based on the ideology according to which "the government is obliged to take under its protection farmers–as it is a matter of national security–and all the actions must be carried out under Parliament’s control."
On behalf of the Committee Victor Dallakian suggested addressing a message to the world’s parliamen’s and international organizations to find the way-out out of the current situation.
