ATHENS (Azat Or)–President Robert Kocharian is scheduled to pay an official visit to Greece beginning on November 21 and lasting until Nov. 23–as a reciprocation of a recent visit to Armenia by Greek president Georgy Stephanopulous.
While in Athens–Kocharian is scheduled to meet with his Greek counterpart–as well as the speaker of the Greek parliament Aristo Kaglaman’s–Greek prime minister Costas Simitis–Greek businessmen and Patriarch of Athens and All of Greece–Arch. Christodulous.
Stephanopulous is scheduled to host a state dinner for president Kocharian.
Sources at Athens city hall indicated that during a reception at Athens City Hall–hosted by mayor Dimitri Avramopulous–a golden key to the city will be presented to Kocharian and a cooperation agreement between the cities of Athens and Yerevan will be signed.
On Wednesday–Nov. 22–during a banquet-gathering at the Intercontinental Hotel in Athens–Kocharian will meet and address the Greek-Armenian community.
On the last day of his visit–Kocharian will visit Thesaloniki and a cooperation agreement between that city and Gumri will be signed during the visit.
A meeting between the ministers of Macedonia and Thrace will also take place in Thesaloniki.
