Section 8 Housing Open Enrollment

From January 16-31–2001–the City of Glendale Housing Authority will reopen its waiting list to low-income seniors–disabled and low-income families requesting Section 8 rental assistance. Section 8 rent subsidies assist very low-income renters–seniors and disabled families to rent decent–safe and sanitary housing

The application for Section 8 assistance can be obtained beginning January 16 using any of the following: Using the City’s internet site:; Through Glendale News Press and Asbarez newspapers where the application will be printed in its entirety; or picking up the application in person at any of the following locations where applications will be placed for the convenience of the public:

7. Glendale Salvation Army–801 So. Central Ave.–91204

The public can also request that an application be mailed to their residence by calling: 1-800-824-2588.

Section 8 program information will be provided to all applicants (Frequently Asked Questions) including income limits and local preferences. All applications must be postmarked by January 31–2001 and will be assigned the Section 8 housing waiting list by computer lottery.
