Prelate Bishop Mardirossian Leaves for Rome

Prelate Bishop Moushegh Mardirossian left for Rome January 23–to participate in a meeting of Christian churches dedicated to the start of the third millennium.

Pope John Paul II extended the invitation to all the heads of various Christian churches around the world.

At the January 25th meeting–a joint ceremony will be held at the Vatican–and a prayer will be made for the unity of all Christian churches.

Catholicos Aram I asked Prelate Bishop Mardirossian to represent the Great House of Cilicia at the meeting.
